Couldn't make out the occupations at all

Just a bit more information. on the 1881 I found an Alice and Edward Alty living at Victoria Road Cottage Great Crosby who are of the age to be the parents of Edward Alty.
I had a look for Edward on the 1881 he is mistranscribed as Atty and living at 9 Loughlin Terrace Litherland.
